Carsium Fortress in Harșova, included in the project "My Guide is the Turkish Language"
The project "My Guide is Turkish", implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture of Romania and the Yunus Emre Institute, aims to bring the Turkish language closer to the historical sites and cultural heritage of our country. As part of this initiative, the Carsium Fortress in Harşova will also welcome its visitors through an audio guide system in Turkish.
The Museum of National History and Archaeology Constanța and the Yunus Emre Institute are organizing the launch ceremony of the audio guide system in Turkish, which will take place on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 7:00 PM, at the Carsium Fortress in Harșova, in the presence of His Excellency, Mr. Özgür Kıvanç Altan, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Romania, as well as numerous guests.
Through this system, visitors will have access, in Turkish, to information about the history of the fortress, its architectural features and its cultural importance, thus contributing to the promotion of cultural heritage to a wider audience.
The inclusion of the Carsium Fortress in Hârșova in this project aims to highlight its rich historical and cultural heritage, as well as facilitate access for Turkish-speaking visitors to one of the most important historical monuments of Dobrogea.
For additional information, interested persons can contact Dr. Constantin Nicolae, scientific manager of the archaeological site, at 0740233060.
