Pontica Journal,

yearbook of the Museum of National History and Archaeology Constanţa, has been published continuously since 1968. The magazine's topics are oriented towards archaeology, ancient and medieval history. The authors of the articles are renowned names in the field.

The magazine is published in a circulation of 500 copies annually, each issue containing between 500 and 700 pages. It has exchanges with about 200 specialized institutions abroad and is included in international databases (FRANCIS; IndexCopernicus; ERIH).

Since 2008, PONTICA Magazine has been classified by the National Council for Scientific Research (CNCS) in category B.

The Museum of National History and Archaeology Constanta, through the Pontica Editorial Committee, is pleased to inform you that the journal "Pontica (ISSN: 2247-9341, 1013-4247)" has passed the evaluation process and is indexed in the ICI Journals Master List database for 2022. (journals.indexcopernicus.com).

The ICI Journal Master List is an international indexing database of scientific journals that evaluates submitted journals for almost 20 years. The condition for indexing in this database is passing a complex multidimensional evaluation, which takes into account more than 100 criteria.

The main condition for indexing in this database is the use of transparent editorial practices and their validation. Journals that meet both the formal and initial indexing conditions receive an ICV (Index Copernicus Value) valid for one year. Based on the verification of information on the operation of the journal in 2022, the value of its parametric power (ICV indicator) for Pontica was calculated at ICV 2022 = 64.75.
