Tragicul eveniment a fost consemnat \u00een presa vremii, iar \u00een fila de calendar istoric de ast\u0103zi \u00eel evoc\u0103m prin intermediul articolelor publicate \u00een \u201eAdev\u0103rul\u201d \u0219i \u201eUniversul literar\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201eAst\u0103noapte pe la orele 12, vaporul unguresc de pasageri \u00abErsebeth Kirale\u00bb s-a aprins mai sus de H\u00eer\u0219ova, din ce cauze nu se \u0219tie \u00eenc\u0103. Fl\u0103c\u0103rile s-au \u00eentins de la buc\u0103t\u0103rie \u0219i au cuprins restul, carboniz\u00eend pe mecanic care dormea al\u0103turi de cabina pasagerilor, a c\u0103ror via\u021b\u0103 era \u00een primejdie grozav\u0103. Pasagerii o parte au sc\u0103pat s\u0103rind \u00een ap\u0103 \u0219i \u00een b\u0103rci, iar de restul nu se \u0219tie nimic. Nu se cunoa\u0219te \u00eenc\u0103 num\u0103rul victimelor. \u00cen acest moment, \u00abErsebeth Kirale\u00bb plute\u0219te pe Dun\u0103re arz\u00eend. Au plecat \u00een ajutorul lui vaporul \u00abNorma\u00bb, o canonier\u0103 de r\u0103zboiu \u0219i autorit\u0103\u021bile din localitate\u201d<\/em>, se relateaz\u0103 \u00een edi\u021bia din 8 iunie a ziarului \u201eAdev\u0103rul\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00cen aceea\u0219i edi\u021bie sunt oferite \u0219i primele informa\u021bii privind bilan\u021bul tragediei: <em>\u201eS-au \u00eenecat peste 40 de persoane, \u00eentre care Dumitrescu, directorul fabricei \u00abAzuga\u00bb, 2 cade\u021bi \u0219i o student\u0103. Vaporul \u00abNorma\u00bb a salvat \u0219i a dus la Cerna-Voda 57 de b\u0103rba\u021bi \u0219i 30 de femei. Acela\u0219i vapor a mai adus dou\u0103 cadavre carbonizate: al mecanicului \u0219i al noului \u0219ef de ocol silvic din Ostrov. \u00centre salva\u021bi se afl\u0103 generalul Ivan Saraioi, din Sofia, un profesor din Odessa, \u00eempreun\u0103 cu so\u021bia sa \u0219i mul\u021bi al\u021bii, aproape to\u021bi dezbr\u0103ca\u021bi\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Peste c\u00e2teva zile, mai precis \u00een edi\u021bia din 18 iunie 1912, \u201eUniversul literar\u201d public\u0103 pe prima pagin\u0103 o impresionant\u0103 ilustra\u021bie dedicat\u0103 tragediei, \u00eenf\u0103\u021bi\u0219\u00e2nd momentele de panic\u0103 de la bordul vaporului cuprins de fl\u0103c\u0103ri \u0219i lupta disperat\u0103 a pasagerilor pentru supravie\u021buire. \u00cen articolul intitulat <em>\u201eCatastrofa vaporului \u00abErzsebet Kiralyne\u00bb pe Dun\u0103re\u201d<\/em>, revista adaug\u0103 detalii suplimentare privind desf\u0103\u0219urarea evenimentului, preciz\u00e2nd c\u0103 vaporul unguresc plecase de la Sulina, \u00een susul Dun\u0103rii, iar nenorocirea s-a produs \u00een dreptul localit\u0103\u021bii Rasova, \u00een apropiere de Cernavoda. <em>\u201eMecanicul \u0219i un chelner au fost carboniza\u021bi. Pasagerii care au sc\u0103pat, \u0219i-au pierdut \u00eentreg avutul. \u00centre cei \u00eeneca\u021bi se afl\u0103 \u0219i Marin Dumitrescu, voiajorul fabricei de bere din Azuga \u0219i Bacruban, \u0219eful oculului silvic din Ostrov.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Pasagerii salva\u021bi au intentat proces societ\u0103\u021bii ungare de naviga\u021biune cer\u00e2nd desp\u0103gubiri\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vaporul \u201eErzs\u00e9bet Kiralyna\u201d (\u201eRegina Elisabeta\u201d) apar\u021binea Societ\u0103\u021bii Regale Ungare de Naviga\u021bie Fluvial\u0103 \u0219i Maritim\u0103 \u0219i efectua curse regulate pe ruta Budapesta \u2013 Constantinopol, cu escal\u0103 la Tulcea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reclama zilei: <strong><em>\u201eLinie regulat\u0103 \u0219i rapid\u0103 bilunar\u0103 transatlantic\u0103 Constan\u021ba \u2013 New York. Transatlanticul de lux \u201eByron\u201d sose\u0219te 6 \u0219i pleac\u0103 la 7 iunie cu escale la Cospoli, Pireu, Palermo \u0219i New York.
