Periferia municipiului Constan\u021ba face \u00een prezent obiectul unor ample cercet\u0103ri arheologice, datorate extinderii \u0219i moderniz\u0103rii ora\u0219ului actual spre zona industrial\u0103. \u00centre anii 2021\u2013 2022, \u00een zona numit\u0103 Siloz Traian sau halta Traian, situat\u0103 \u00een partea de vest a municipiului Constan\u021ba, pe bulevardul Aurel Vlaicu la nr. 158, au fost executate cercet\u0103ri arheologice ample de c\u0103tre colectivul MINA Constan\u021ba, cu ocazia construc\u021biei unui nou magazin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00cen cadrul cercet\u0103rilor desf\u0103\u0219urate aici, a fost documentat\u0103 o a\u0219ezare \u0219i o necropol\u0103 de epoc\u0103 roman\u0103, care atest\u0103 o locuire \u00eentre secolele II\u2013 VI, precum \u0219i o mic\u0103 necropol\u0103 preistoric\u0103.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00cen a\u0219ezare \u0219i necropola de epoc\u0103 roman\u0103 au fost descoperite \u0219i c\u00e2teva monumente onorifice, votive \u0219i funerare, p\u0103strate fragmentar. Soarta monumentelor antice p\u0103g\u00e2ne de la Tomis a fost pecetluit\u0103, odat\u0103 cu evolu\u021bia politic\u0103 \u0219i mai ales religioas\u0103 a Imperiului Roman, de la finalul secolului al III-lea \u0219i pe parcursul celui urm\u0103tor. Marea majoritate a acestora au sf\u00e2r\u0219it probabil, fiind refolosite \u00een construc\u021bii sau \u00een cuptoarele de var ale ora\u0219ului.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00cen zid\u0103ria caselor datate \u00een secolul al IV-lea p. Chr., din a\u0219ezarea cercetat\u0103, au fost g\u0103site mai multe fragmente de monumente antice. Printre acestea se afl\u0103 \u0219i o statuie a zei\u021bei Hecate Triformis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hecate este o zeitate asociat\u0103 cu magia, vr\u0103jitoria, r\u0103sp\u00e2ntiile, intr\u0103rile, noaptea, lumina, luna, mormintele \u0219i cimitirele, necroman\u021bia, fiind considerat\u0103 a fi p\u0103str\u0103toare a cheilor \u0219i cea care \u00eencurc\u0103 \u0219i descurc\u0103 via\u021ba oamenilor. Ora\u0219ul Atena o venera ca o protectoare a casei \u0219i a oamenilor, romanii o cuno\u0219teau sub numele de Trivia- protectoare a r\u0103sp\u00e2ntiilor, c\u0103l\u0103toriilor, magiei \u0219i a lumii de dincolo. \u00cen aceast\u0103 calitate, ea era reprezentat\u0103 la Tomis sub forma unei mici statuete pe care putem observa trei femei a\u0219ezate spate \u00een spate, fiecare cu un atribut specific (o tor\u021b\u0103, o cheie, un \u0219arpe, un vas sau un mic animal) \u0219i \u00eenso\u021bite de un c\u00e2ine, companion de n\u0103dejde \u0219i animal sacrificat \u00een cadrul cultului acesteia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Colec\u021bia MINA Constan\u021ba de\u021bine mai multe astfel de statuete de marmur\u0103, descoperite la Tomis, unele dintre acestea fiind parte a celebrului tezaur de sculpturi de la Tomis \u0219i expuse pentru public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The outskirts of Constan\u021ba are currently the subject of extensive archaeological research, due to the expansion and modernization of the current city, towards the industrial area. Between the years 2021-2022, in the area called Siloz Traian or halta Traian, located in the western part of Constan\u021ba, on Aurel Vlaicu boulevard at no. 158, extensive archaeological research was carried out by the Constan\u021ba museum employees, on the occasion of the construction of a new massive store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As part of the research carried out here, a settlement and a necropolis from the Roman era were documented, which attests to a habitation between the 2nd and 6th centuries AD. and also a small Prehistoric necropolis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Several honorary, votive and funerary monuments, preserved fragmentarily, were also discovered in the settlement and in the Roman necropolis. The fate of the ancient pagan monuments from Tomis was probably sealed with the political and especially religious evolution of the Roman Empire, from the end of the 3rd century and throughout the following one. Unfortunately, the vast majority of them probably ended up being reused in construction or in lime kilns of the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the masonry of the houses dated in the 4th century AD., from the researched settlement, several fragments of monuments were discovered. Among them is a statue of the goddess Hecate Triformis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hecate is a deity associated with magic, witchcraft, crossings and crossroads, entrances, night, light, moon, graves and cemeteries, necromancy, being the keeper of keys and the one who confuses and untangles people’s lives. The city of Athens worshiped her as a protector of the house and people, the Romans knew her as Trivia- protector of blessings, travels, magic and the underworld. In this role, she was represented in the form of a small statuette of a three women seated back-to-back, each with a specific attribute (a torch, a key, a snake, a vessel or a small animal) and accompanied by a dog, a companion of the goddess and animal sacrificed in her cult.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The MINA Constan\u021ba museum collection owns several such marble statuettes, discovered at Tomis, some of which are part of the Tomis sculpture treasure and are on display for the public.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
